Welcome to The Eldwick Church

If you’re new to church, please come along and join us, we’d love to get to know you. You'll find the latest notice sheet on the welcome desks as you enter the church with other information that you might find interesting. There will always be someone waiting to give you a warm welcome and advice on what to do.

Some questions that new people ask us:

Will I have to stand up and introduce myself? No! But there will be the chance to meet other members informally before and after the services.

What should I wear? Don’t worry about what to wear – there are no dress codes. Please dress as you feel most comfortable. Jesus said: come as you are.

Where do I park? There is a small car park to the rear of the church buildings and on- street parking around the village.

Where’s the entrance? There are two main entrances – east and west – that take you directly into the new link entrance to the church. There is no access through the original arch door at the front of the church.

What about children? Children are welcome! At our family services children start off in church with everyone else but soon move off into small supervised groups and then return to us shortly before the service ends.

The Eldwick Church is a single congregation, local ecumenical partnership (LEP), formed through a committed merger between the Eldwick Methodist Church and St. Lawrence’s Church of England church and now offers services from both faith traditions. The partnership was formed in October 2010 when the two churches came together to worship as one congregation in the former St Lawrence’s church building – which has since undergone an ambitious building project to increase its capacity, facilities and scope for community activities. We meet in church congregations and home groups across the village of Eldwick. You are welcome to join us at any of our services.
